On Sunday, September 3rd, the Guardsman Challenge will take place at the Hope Zoo, Kingston. Jamaica. This will be Jamaica’s first official obstacle course race event and an international qualifier for the 2017 OCR World Championships that will take place mid-October at Blue Mountain, Ontario, Canada. The Guardsman Challenge will be a 6km course through rugged terrain with obstacles that include scaling 8’ walls, crawling under barbed wire, crossing monkey bars, and climbing ropes.
Participants get to take on the challenge while having fun with their friends, family, and colleagues! You can run the course individually or with a team. The choice is up to you. Participants will have the option of starting in heats that depart every 20 minutes starting at 7:00am. If you are unable to participate, come out to watch the event and support your community.
Once you complete the course, the celebrations can begin at the post-event party that will include live music, food and drinks.
The Guardsman Games Finals from Saturday’s event will also be taking place following the Guardsman Challenge.
