The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, is a pioneering hub dedicated to advancing the quality of education across the Caribbean. Established in the early 1990s, the Centre began as the Staff Development Unit, evolving into the Instructional Development Unit (IDU) in 1998, before taking its current form in 2013.

CETL is committed to enhancing teaching practices, fostering deep learning, and supporting faculty development through a range of services including workshops, training programs, and digital resources. By collaborating with various campus units and integrating cutting-edge instructional technologies, CETL aims to create a dynamic, learner-centered environment that addresses the diverse needs of students.
