This year’s Southwest Cajun Fest will be a vibrant, family-friendly celebration reminiscent of Bourbon Street. Highlights include a live alligator petting zoo, The Swamp Bar serving up handcrafted hurricanes and daiquiris, and a speakeasy lounge with specialty cocktails exclusively available inside. Special guest Jungle Jill will be on-site, bringing an unforgettable, up-close, and interactive animal experience to everyone. Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to see and touch exotic and domestic animals, learning fascinating facts while creating lifelong memories. There will also be an array of mouthwatering Cajun and seafood vendors providing bold flavors such as gumbo, frog legs, po’ boys, beignets, hush puppies, alligator bites, catfish, and a freshly prepared seafood boil. The entertainment lineup will immerse festivalgoers in Mardi Gras magic with live music from Cajun, Zydeco, and blues bands, as well as street performances by stilt walkers, jugglers, magicians, and a high-energy brass marching band. Guests can revel in a traditional Mardi Gras atmosphere with beads raining down from second-story balconies during a Bourbon Street experience. For families, the festival offers plenty of kid-friendly activities, including a dedicated kids’ zone with rides, inflatables, and interactive entertainment. Eating competitions and other engaging challenges add to the fun for attendees of all ages.
