On December 6 at 7 p.m., The Balfour Hotel will unveil local artist Gustavo Oviedo’s exhibit, “Lost at Sea.” The immersive, thought-provoking exhibition will delve into underwater discovery, coastal documentation and debris analysis. These works exemplify Gustavo Oviedo’s artistic style with large-scale paintings of organic forms straight from the depths of the ocean’s cosmic consciousness. Reflective surfaces and multisensory installations invite attendees on a transformative journey, encouraging introspection and connection to the vast ocean. The event will include passed bites and complimentary beverages; a pop-up display by emerging luxury handbag brand Piper & Skye, recognized as a global leader in responsibly-made oceanic leather accessories; as well as live entertainment, and an opportunity to meet the artist. The event is free and open to the public.
