Run With The Turkeys Trot is happening on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 07:00AM CST at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway with tickets starting at $29.00 <div><p><strong><span>EVENT LOCATION:<br></span></strong>Keller Trails<br>1000 Bear Creek Parkway<br>Keller, Texas</p> <p><strong><span>EVENT DATE:</span></strong>Thursday November 24, 2022</p> <p><b><span>DESCRIPTION:</span><br></b>Start Thanksgiving off on the right turkey leg and join us for the 4th Annual Run With The Turkeys Trot 5K & 10K walk/run starting at 8:00am for the 10k and 8:15am for the 5k! Before you eat your big meal get a little exercise with a few of you closest friends and neighbors. This is an event the whole family can enjoy and help others in the community. Make the run or walk a Family Tradition. Bring the strollers and of course friendly dogs on a leash are WELCOME! </p> <p><strong><span>VIRTUAL OPTION:<br></span></strong>Can't make the event then join us virtually. Do the 5K, 10K at your own pace and time. After you complete your distance go to the website and click on the "Results" option in the menu bar. Submit virtual results. Also post pictures on the DAR Facebook LIVE page. Each virtual runner will receive a long sleeve race shirt, Finishers medal, and race bib. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PACKET AT ONE OF THE SCHEDULED PACKET PICK UPS. WE WILL NOT MAIL PACKETS</p> <p><strong><span>BENEFICIARY: COMMUNITY STOREHOUSE<br></span></strong>DAR have teamed up with Community Storehouse to help benefit the kids in the Keller ISD and Northwest ISD by bringing non-perishable food items. Food insecurity affects 20% of the children in the Keller ISD and 25% in Northwest ISD. Please bring 2-3 non-perishable items race day.</p> <p><strong><span>WHAT YOU GET ( RACE SWAG )</span></strong><br>Each participants will receive a Run With The Turkeys Long Sleeve shirt unisex sizes including children's sizing. It’s real busy race morning</b></span></p> <p><span><b>RACE DAY SCHEDULE</b></span><br>Be sure to register online then head to the race site for your packet if you have not already picked up your packet. Maximum 5 packets per person for pick up.<br>6:00am-7:30am Packet pick up (make sure you are registered online first)<br>7:30am - Packet pick up closes.<br>8:00am - 10k start!<br>8:01am - Post race party with fresh, piping hot pancakes on the griddle!<br>8:10am Timed 5K Starts<br>8:20am Untimed 5K Starts<br>9:30am - 5k awards!<br>9:45am - 10k awards!<br>10:00am - head home for a nap, make room for Thanksgiving Dinner!<br>Happy Thanksgiving!</p> <p><b>WEATHER POLICY</b></p> <p>In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the event course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.</p> <p>If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.</p> <p>We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.</p> <p>Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.</p> <p>Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.</p> <p>Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation.</p> </div>
