The Integrated Management of the Yallahs and Hope River Watershed Management Areas project, National Environment and Planning Agency is hosting a Special Tree Planting Exercise and Community Exposition. The event will be held at the Content Gap Primary School Wednesday 02 November 2016 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12 noon.
The special tree planting day is part of the project’s ‘Trees for Life: Trees of Love’ campaign which encourages Jamaicans to plant a tree for someone they love and as an investment in the future. The day’s activities will include:
- Planting some 200 fruit trees on the grounds of the Content Gap Primary School
- Signing of partnership agreements with project partners
- Bird watching activities for students
- Social services being provided to the community through the Registrar General Department, PATH and other government agencies
- Mini farmers’ market
