About this event
Wednesday October 12th 8:30pm (FREE) Indigenous Peoples' Day (also known as Native American Day) is a holiday that celebrates Indigenous Peoples and is a counter-celebration to Columbus Day.
Columbus Day is the commemoration of the landing of Columbus in America in 1492 and is officially celebrated in the United States on the second Monday in October.
Hispanic Day (Día de la Hispanidad) or Spain's National Day (Fiesta Nacional de España) is an annual national public holiday in Spain on October 12. It commemorates when Christopher Columbus first set foot in the Americas in 1492.
Some Latin American countries also call this commemoration, Day of the Indigenous Resistance promoting Columbus's non-discovery and non-civilizing of America.
We will be promoting indigenous Venezuelan culture through a Live performance of Luis Felipe Bellorin on both the Cuatro and the Guitar.
