About this event

The Kingston Book Festival (KBF) returns this year from March 6 to 12 and will showcase Jamaica's literary and publishing prowess. In addition to book signings, school tours and a book fair, this year the KBF team is pleased to announce an exciting addition to its event series: Storytelling for Social Change. From issues such as: the prevention of gender based violence and child abuse, to environmental preservation and social inclusion for special needs or marginalized groups; this event will highlight the power of storytelling to inspire positive changes in Jamaica and the world.

On March 8 at 4:30pm, come hear remarkable ways in which stories, feature articles, books and wider publications can harness the attention, understanding and support of wider audiences. Presenters include: Jamaica Red Cross, Global Reporters - the team behind the news programme 18 Degrees North, Junior Achievement Jamaica, Tribe Sankofa and We Change.
