The Gleaner Company Limited affectionately called the “Old Dame of North Street” will celebrate its 180th anniversary on September 13, 2014. As part of its celebratory activities, The Gleaner will host the 'Fit for 180, Fit for Life 5K Run/Walk' on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 6:30am. The Gleaner 180 5K is for runners and walkers of all levels and ages. Featuring MyLaps chip timing, the race starts at The Gleaner’s headquarters on North Street and is followed by breakfast party and awards presentation. The race will benefit the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) Physiotherapy Department and PALS Jamaica (Peace and Love in Society).
Registration is open to all individuals and teams (corporate, clubs, church groups) up to the deadline on Friday, September 5, 2014.
Follow the steps below to register for the Run or Walk event.
Registration closes Friday, September 5, 2014 or upon achieving the event limit, whichever comes first. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
ENTRY FEES
Individuals and teams of less than 50 persons - $1,000 per person. Teams of 50 or more persons - $900 per person. The first 1,000 entrants will receive a limited edition Gleaner 180 bag pack.
Entries are NOT REFUNDABLE or TRANSFERABLE.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Individuals and teams can register AND pay online using a debit (Visa Only) or a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Keycard).

MANUAL REGISTRATION

Submit the completed Entry Form with cash or cheque payment to The Gleaner Company Limited, 7 North Street, Kingston OR Running Events Limited, 87-89 Tower Street, Kingston.

PACKAGE PICK-UP
Race packages can be collected at The Gleaner Company Limited, 7 North Street, Kingston on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10 -11 from 11:00am to 5:00pm; and on Friday, September 12 from 9:00am to 12 noon. THERE IS NO NUMBER PICK-UP ON RACE DAY.
Your bib number will be labelled with your name and marked for the event you entered. The bib is to be pinned to the front of your shirt. You must wear the bib number assigned to you. Switching of race events is NOT allowed once race registration is closed. Entrants in the Run event can Run and Walk. However, the Walk race is for Walkers Only.
Each participant is responsible for knowing and complying with all the official rules and regulations. Failure to comply with the rules of the event will subject you to disqualification.
