Prolific art duo Gillie and Marc, known for their heartwarming and thought-provoking art installations that celebrate and raise awareness for wildlife preservation, have brought their whimsical and interactive style to life in Miami Beach for the first time with the unveiling of two never-before-exhibited bronze sculptures on Lincoln Road through December 2025: “The Giraffe and Chimpanzee Were on a Wild Ride to a Safer Place with Rabbitwoman and Dogman” and “The White Rhino Bench of Friendship.” Visitors are encouraged to interact with the sculptures, share photos on social media using the hashtags #GillieandMarc and #OnLincoln, and join the artists’ mission to promote conservation

About the Artists:


Yelena Filipchuk (b. 1987) Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Yelena attended UC Berkeley and studied Conservation and Resource Studies, concentrating on patterns in the natural world, biomimicry and environmental justice. Then trained in studio art and fabrication and digital design. She thrives in the creative process, creating thought provoking artwork that investigates patterns and forms as a way to educate and inspire.


Serge Beaulieu (b. 1981) Born in Revelstoke BC, Canada, Serge attended Carleton University and studied Industrial Design. After having practiced as a designer for 10 years, Serge returned to his roots as an artist and sculptor by creating large scale artworks that push the boundaries of technology, geometry and fabrication. He is constantly investigating materials, light and processes in order to harness technology as a conduit for artistic expression.

Saddle up and hold on, the wildly popular Cactus Reining Classic, which has been viewed and streamed by millions on Paramount and CMT’s The Last Cowboy rides back into WestWorld of Scottsdale March 14th – 22nd, 2025. Events will run from 8am-8pm every day. The nine-day event offers FREE admission for spectators and more than 30 different western and reining competitions, from youth and amateur to professional with cash prizes, including the famous Run for a Million, as seen on Taylor Sheridan’s hit TV series The Last Cowboy where riders compete to win a million dollars. Sheridan is a co-owner of the event and an avid horseman, attendee and commentator at the Cactus Reining Classic. He’s also an Academy Award Nominee and the creator of TV’s number one show Yellowstone, and its prequels 1883 and 1923, as well as Special Ops: Lioness, and Landman. Indeed, The Last Cowboy was an idea sparked by the early episodes of Yellowstone. Drawing more than 15,000 attendees the event is owned produced and organized by Scottsdale Resident Amanda Brumley. Brumley held her first Cactus Reining Classic event in 2005 at WestWorld of Scottsdale and since then the attendance and prize money has grown to become one of NRHA’s top 10 annual events. Floating seeds roam the drylands, intending to make deep forms. Floating seeds are vessels searching for potential life, simultaneously suspended and rooted, architects of their own making. We find floating seeds at the porous intersections of landscape and architecture, visually manifesting their underlying networks, ecosystems, and cultures. Making deep forms is a way of reworlding—an attempt to view things differently—refuting binary order to speculate the future. Floating seeds make deep forms on a path toward becoming, being, and knowing by reflecting the complexity of their entangled networks and testing their existence. Floating seeds make deep forms through new structures that emerge as palpable auras of transformation.

Los Angeles-based artist Cybele Lyle explores place and identity by reconfiguring architecture, interior space, and the natural environment in her installation, video, and 2D works. Her first solo museum exhibition, _Floating Seeds Make Deep Forms_, is a site-specific installation that reimagines deserts of North America as liminal expanses for ambiguity within a regenerative ecosystem and positions architecture through the lens of queer space, a responsive site to the natural evolution of identity and environment.

SMoCA’s _Architecture + Art_ series presents ground-breaking projects by individuals whose work explores and challenges the boundaries between architecture and art. Organized by Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and curated by Lauren R. O’Connell, curator of contemporary art. This artwork is commissioned following W.A.G.E. guidelines.
