Confluence Park is our award-winning oasis where sustainability, art, and architecture come together in a harmonious blend of innovation and beauty. During our Ecology and Nature tour you'll explore innovative designs, eco-friendly structures, and stunning artworks that harmonize with nature. Tours are scheduled every fourth Saturday of the month with our Master Naturalist Docent, Bob Morris.

During the tour, you'll learn about the story of sustainability, focusing on the essential roles of water, soil, and air—three fundamental renewable natural resources that are crucial for all life on Earth. Confluence Park was built by forming a partnership between Nature and Architecture. These two attributes were melded into one to create a Vision of Sustainability for every visitor that comes here and provide a tangible benefit to all that reside in the SA River Basin.

Please note, the tour may be canceled if no reservations are made by the day prior. Each tour will last between 1.5 to 2 hours, and participants are welcome to join or leave as needed to accommodate different attention spans or ages. The pathways are accessible to all mobility levels, and bathrooms and water fountains are available on-site. We encourage you to bring a water bottle and sun protection.

Registration required. Ticket costs will be refunded to the original payment method as long as you are present for the program. If you are not present for the program the $5.00 payment will be donated to San Antonio River Foundation.

Confluence Park Ecology and Nature Tour - Every 4th Sat of the Month 2025

It is not just a SHOW, it is an EXPERIENCE!


For almost a decade, we have been the #1 show for brunch in Texas (some say the U.S except the Miami show is crazier). Loud, proud, sometime lewd, but always over the top fun. For those who need a small break from their spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, children, boss, or the every day monotony of life, there is no other place. Each show is different. So as we say here in Texas, "LIVE LIFE LIKE SOMEBODY LEFT THE GATE OPEN!"


Expertise in bachelorette parties, divorce celebrations, just turned 50, and girls just want to have fun parties or anything else that requires no picture taking.


Seating starts at 10:00 am. Seating is first-come first-serve. We do not sit incomplete parties. Seating is determined by party size and tables available when your party arrives.


No outside food, drink or cakes are allowed in the establishment.


Guest must present a physical form of ID, drivers license, or passport (All guest must be 21+) and valid mobile ticket before entrance is permitted.


Paramour is a non-cash establishment.

Ruby City proudly presents Synthesis & Subversion Redux [https://rubycity.org/exhibitions/synthesis-subversion-redux/], an exhibition celebrating the legacy of Frances Jean Colpitt and the evolving conversation around Latinx art. This new exhibition revisits Colpitt’s groundbreaking 1996 show, Synthesis and Subversion: A Latino Direction in San Antonio Art, and its influence on contemporary art practices today.


n her original exhibition, Colpitt explored how Latinx artists could synthesize personal and cultural experiences with conceptual art practices. The artists featured in Redux honor this foundation while addressing contemporary issues like gender, migration, and bicultural identity. Their works embody hybridity and intersectionality, using materials such as textiles and clothing to weave together stories of resilience, family, and heritage. 


This new iteration also reflects a significant societal shift. In the 1990s, the art world often overlooked artists working outside mainstream contemporary discourse. Today, these historically marginalized practices are embraced as central to the broader narrative of contemporary art, celebrated for their ability to challenge conventions, elevate diverse voices, and offer fresh perspectives on identity and cultural heritage. 


Featured Artists include: Juan Carlos Escobedo, Jenelle Esparza, Bárbara Miñarro, Angeles Salinas, and José Villalobos 


The opening reception [https://rubycity.org/events/], which will feature an exhibition walkthrough with both Gonzalez and co-curator, Lopez, will take place on Saturday, February 14 from 2-3PM with a reception following from 3-5PM. The event is free and open to the public.


The exhibition will be on view from February 15, 2024 through September 28, 2025 at Studio, located inside Chris Park. Studio is open Thursday - Sunday from 10am - 6pm. It is closed Monday -Wednesday.

Synthesis & Subversion Redux

Envisioning the Hindu Divine: Expanding Darshan and Manjari Sharma features forty historical objects from India and Southeast Asia and nine photographs by global contemporary artist Manjari Sharma. Bringing together the striking work of the rising contemporary art star with the historic collections of the Birmingham Museum of Art, this exhibition showcases nine of the most significant deities of the Hindu pantheon and their contemporary relevance in art and faith. These works serve as a gateway to the concept of darshan—seeing and being seen by the divine—a profound spiritual exchange of glances experienced through consecrated images of gods. The vibrant, varied, and sometimes contradictory stories of these gods—as well as their familial relationships with each other—are shared through the works in this exhibition. 


 


Contemporary artist Manjari Sharma makes work that is rooted in portraiture and addresses issues of identity, multiculturalism, and personal mythology. Beginning as a multiyear, crowdfunded project on Kickstarter, Sharma’s Darshan series of photographs aimed to recreate the experience of encountering the nine Hindu deities. An extraordinary aspect of Sharma’s work is her commitment to creating each scene without digital manipulation. All items visible in the images were present when photographed, not digitally added later. Join us for a tour on the beautiful San Antonio River for a 100 minute cruise exploring San Antonio ‘s Black History along the Riverwalk. Our trip starts by meeting at 218 S. Presa in La Villita. Please arrive at 218 S. Presa 30-45 minutes ahead of the boat departure time. We then travel through history on a north route through the Museum Reach to the Pearl then back downtown to the Alamo, Convention Center and back to La Villita. You will be surprised at the continued African American influence in San Antonio. No professional video or photography allowed on the boat tour without prior approval. The SAAACAM Black History Boat Tour is suitable for those able to remain seated for at least 2 hours.
