Events' Realm

Jamaica Dance Umbrella was founded in March, 2009. The Festival is geared towards celebrating cultural diversity in the Caribbean and showcases the best of what the Caribbean has to offer in its artistic fields. For the Jamaica Dance Umbrella Showcase, we have invited some of Jamaica's prominent Dance Companies to perform some of their works. In accordance with this we have also extended this invitation to a series of Independent Jamaican Dance Artists and Choreographers.
 
This year, we feature over 30 schools, companies, and choreographers who present performances to you through the bodies of over 100 dancers from Junior Jamaica Dance Umbrella to our Showcase nights.
