About this event
Watch top-ranked tennis pros compete up close and personal as the 5th annual Arizona Tennis Classic returns to the Phoenix Country Club on March 10 – 16, 2025. The state’s sole ATP Challenger Tour event, this highly-anticipated tourney is Arizona tennis fans’ only chance to see up-and-coming stars, such as Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini, who competed in last year’s event.
The main draw boasts several Top 50 players, headlined by (subject to change):
- Pedro Martínez (World No. 36, Spain): A clay-court specialist known for his relentless baseline play.
- Nuno Borges (World No. 38, Portugal): The defending champion, aiming for a third consecutive title in Phoenix.
- Flavio Cobolli (World No. 39, Italy): A young talent making waves on the ATP Tour.
- Jan-Lennard Struff (World No. 46, Germany): Veteran player with a powerful serveand-volley game.
- Alexander Bublik (World No. 51, Kazakhstan): Known for his entertaining style and unpredictable shot-making.
- A notable entrant is João Fonseca (World No. 68, Brazil), who recently captured his first ATP Tour title at the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires. At just 18, Fonseca became the youngest Brazilian to win an ATP tournament in the Open Era, defeating home favorite Francisco Cerúndolo in straight sets. This victory has catapulted him into the spotlight as one of tennis's most promising talents.
Hosted on the beautiful grounds of the Phoenix Country Club, tickets start at only $40. Most important, all proceeds for this non-profit event will again be donated to local charities such as Phoenix Children’s Hospital, as well as Serve the Future, an organization that empowers local underserved youth through tennis.
Launched in 2019, the Arizona Tennis Classic is part of the ATP Challenger Tour, the proving ground for rising stars and highly ranked seasoned players. And because it’s scheduled between two of the ATP Tour’s biggest tournaments in the US, Indian Wells and The Miami Open, the event draws a surprisingly stacked collection of top players from around the world looking to win the $231,150 in prize money, and earn 175 tour points, while enjoying a week of fun in the Arizona sun.
