Events' Realm

Bat Week is an international, annual celebration designed to raise awareness about the need for bat conservation. Bats are amazing creatures that are vital to the health of our natural world and economy. These nocturnal creatures are often misunderstood, but they act as valuable predators to many insects, including mosquitos! Join educators as we kick off this celebration with hands on activities, games and an up close look at these creatures of the night! This event will begin in the Discovery Center Classroom.

Discover what happens at the zoo after the sun goes down at Elmwood Park Zoo’s “ZooSnooze” overnight campouts!  **ZooSnooze campouts are recommended for children ages 4 and up.**

Outside food and beverage is permitted, but coolers will be checked upon entering the zoo. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited, and any guests caught with alcohol will be asked to leave the event without refund.

_Elmwood Park Zoo has the right to cancel,_ _change, or postpone any program/event. Programs/events that have_ _not met the minimum number of participants or registrations within_ _the week of the event may be cancelled. In the event that the zoo_ _cancels the program/event, ticket holders will be contacted directly_ _and issued a full refund. Any cancellation or change on behalf of the_ _ticket holder must be received at least 7 days prior to the_ _program/event to receive the change or partial refund of 80%. No_ _refunds will be given for ticket holder cancellations less than 7 days_ _before the scheduled event/program date._
