The photography of Denver artist Bill Adams is on display at the Emmanuel Gallery on the Auraria Campus from January 26th - March 19th, 2023. Bill Adams: One Man Show is a mid-career survey of the artist's work. Adams creates large, humorous color photographs and photo-collages of elaborately staged scenes in which the artist plays numerous different characters. Each finished image represents several years of work and multiple rounds of shooting. Adams' photographs explore the interplay between the viewer and the subject and ask the viewer to consider whose gaze is in control.
